How to Start

  1. On the Organizer, do one of these:

    • Add an activity:
      1. In the Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the Salesforce tab.
      2. On the Salesforce tab, drag the Create Task activity onto your process.
    • Change an activity:
      1. In your process, double-click your activity.
  3. On the Create SalesForce Task Configuration screen, click Create Task .

Procedure

  1. On the Create SalesForce Task Configuration screen, in the Salesforce field, select your Salesforce access token.

    To create a new access token, click Add Token . For more information, refer to New Salesforce Access Token.

  2. Complete these fields as necessary.
    Field Name Definition

    Task Subject

    Function:
    The details about the task which you want to create.
    To Open this Field:
    1. On the Create Salesforce Task Configuration screen, click the Task Information tab.
    Accepted Values:
    One line of text.
    Default Value:
    None
    Accepts Process Data Variables:
    Yes

    Assigned To

    Function:
    Specifies the Salesforce user to whom the task is assigned.
    To Open this Field:
    1. On the Create Salesforce Task Configuration screen, click the Task Information tab.
    Accepted Values:
    A valid user.

    Assigns the task to a single user only.

    Default Value:
    None.

    When you select the access token, the Salesforce user name shows in the Assigned To field.

    Accepts Process Data Variables:
    Yes

    Task Priority

    Function:
    Specifies the priority for your task.
    To Open this Field:
    1. On the Create Salesforce Task Configuration screen, click the Task Information tab.
    Accepted Values:
    • High
    • Normal
    • Low
    Default Value:
    None
    Accepts Process Data Variables:
    Yes

    Task Status

    Function:
    Specifies the status of the task.
    To Open this Field:
    1. On the Create Salesforce Task Configuration screen, click the Task Information tab.
    Accepted Values:
    • Not Started
    • In Progress
    • Completed
    • Deferred
    • Waiting on someone else
    Default Value:
    None
