Get File Info (Google Drive) activity

An activity that gets information about a file from Google Drive to store in process data variables.



Configure the Get File Info activity

To configure the Get File Info activity, do the procedure in this topic.

Good to Know

  • You must specify the file or file ID to get the information of the file.
  • In most text fields, you can use process data variables as an alternative to literal data values.

How to Start

  1. On the Organizer, do one of these:
  2. Do one of these:
    • Add an activity:
      1. In the Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the Google Drive tab.
      2. On the Google Drive tab, drag the Get File Info activity onto your process.
    • Change an activity:
      1. In your process, double-click your activity.

Procedure

  1. Complete the fields on the General Configuration screen.

  2. Click Get File Info .
  3. Complete the fields on the Get File in Google Drive Configuration screen.

    For more information, refer to Get File Information in Google Drive.

  4. (Optional) Click Advanced > E-mail Notification .

    For more information, refer to Configure E-mail Notifications for Any Activity

General Configuration

Specifies the common information for a system activity.

One line of text that can have spaces.

Specifies an optional description for your activity.
Accepted Values:
More than one line of text.

Get File Configuration

Specifies information about a file to get from Google Drive and store in a process data variable.

Function:
Specifies the access token that connects to your Google Drive application.
Accepted Values:
A list of access tokens configured for your environment.
Default Value:
None
Accepts Process Data Variables:
No

Add Token

Opens this Screen:
New Google Drive Access Token
Function of this Screen:
Configures a new access token for Google Drive.

File ID
Function:
Specifies the Google Drive file. The activity uses this file ID when the process runs.
Accepted Values:
  • Choose File ID - Specifies an absolute path for the file.
  • Dynamic File ID - Specifies a process variable that stores the ID of file.
Default Value:
None.
Accepts Process Data Variables:
Yes

Store the Response in Custom Attribute or Schema - File ID
Function:
Specifies the process data variable that stores the file ID.

The file ID comes from Google Drive.

Accepted Values:
A process data variable.
Default Value:
None
Accepts Process Data Variables:
Yes

Store the Response in Custom Attribute or Schema - File Name
Function:
Specifies the process data variable that stores the name of the file.
Accepted Values:
A process data variable.
Default Value:
None
Accepts Process Data Variables:
Yes

Store the Response in Custom Attribute or Schema - Shared Link
Function:
Specifies the process data variable that stores the download link of the file.
Accepted Values:
A process data variable.
Default Value:
None
Accepts Process Data Variables:
Yes

Function:
Specifies an optional description for your file or folder.
Accepted Values:
More than one line of text.
Default Value:
None
Accepts Process Data Variables:
