How to Start

  1. On the Organizer, do one of these:

    • Add an activity:
      1. In the Process Builder, in the Activity Library, open the Dynamics CRM tab.
      2. On the Dynamics CRM tab, drag the Change Ownership (Dynamics CRM) activity onto your process.
    • Change an activity:
      1. In your process, double-click your activity.
  3. On the Change Ownership Configuration screen, click Change Ownership .

Procedure

  1. On the Change Ownership Configuration screen, in the Dynamics CRM field, select your Dynamics CRM access token.

    To create a new access token, click Add Token . For more information, refer to New Dynamics CRM Access Token.

  2. In the Entity Name list, select your entity.
  3. Complete these fields as necessary:
    Field Name Definition

    Entity ID

    Function:
    Specifies the Dynamics CRM entity ID.
    Accepted Values:
    A valid Dynamics CRM entity ID.
    Default Value:
    None
    Accepts Process Data Variables:
    Yes
  4. In the Owner Type field, select the type of ownership necessary for your entity.
  5. In the Owner Names field, select the name of owner for your entity.
  6. Complete this field as necessary:
    Field Name Definition

    Owner ID

    Function:
    Specifies an ID of the owner supplied by Dynamics CRM.
    Accepted Values:
    A valid owner ID.
    Default Value:
    None

    Once you select the owner name, the correct ID is populated in the field.

    Accepts Process Data Variables:
    Yes
  7. (Optional) To store the entity ID as a process data variable, add the variable from the Process Variables screen to the field Store Entity ID in Custom Attribute or Schema.

    Specifies the process data variable that contains the entity ID.
    Accepted Values:
    A process data variable.
